Our Story

Strategic Wealth Capital, LLC

What does a person do when she has found her perfect job at the age of 23?

Our Founder, Adrianne Yamaki, became a Financial Advisor a year out of college. Putting her undergrad economics degree to work, she tenaciously dedicated herself to the profession, within the renowned Private Client Group of Merrill Lynch. Over the next 6 years, she independently built a highly-successful practice during one of the most challenging economic periods of US history. She steadfastly guided her client families through the dot-com bubble, September 11th attacks, and the ensuing recession and bear market, attaining her CFP® along the way.

Not recognizing so early on that she’d already found “The One” career, at age 29 she left to pursue her MBA at the Booth School of Business of the University of Chicago. After graduating with honors, Adrianne joined a global management consulting firm in New York where she worked 80 hours a week serving multinational banking institutions.

After 5 years away from her financial advisory practice, she deeply missed her client work, and realized that “The First” career really was “The One!” Armed with her broad strategic experience, she joined Morgan Stanley in August 2009 and re-built from scratch, with a clear vision for the business she wanted to create and the client families she wanted to serve.

After 10 years at Morgan Stanley and many months of consideration, Adrianne came to the conclusion that to best serve her clients and her team, the time had come for her to establish her practice as an independent firm.
