Our Story

Strategic Wealth Capital, LLC

The childhood of our Founder, Adrianne Yamaki, had a profound and direct impact on her chosen profession.

Raised by a public high-school biology teacher father and stay-at-home mother with a degree in Chemistry, from an early age Adrianne has believed that knowledge, effectively-applied, is the key to a better life. At age 13, she saw the negative financial effects of her parents’ divorce and witnessed the challenges they experienced supporting four children and two households on one income. Adrianne quickly learned how money can limit, or expand, our life choices and ability to care for others.
Adrianne used her babysitting savings at age 17 to purchase the heavy Consumer Reports tome “The Money Book” through the mail, and began teaching herself about the economy and personal finance.

She put herself through college (BA in Economics, Mills College) and grad school (MBA in Corporate Strategy, University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business), and many years later is a 20-year veteran of the financial services industry, spending the majority of her career as a family financial planner.

After many years of building and running her client practice at two stellar legacy Wall Street firms, Adrianne recognized that to best serve her clients and team she had to establish her own firm. She founded Strategic Wealth Capital in 2019 with a clear vision for the business she wanted to create and a strong continued commitment to the client families she serves.

Adrianne is impassioned by helping people, and still loves economics and finance. She is grateful to have found her dream job integrating the two, and on a daily basis dedicates herself to improving the lives of her client families through knowledge, effectively-applied.
